Marin Ivezic Parter, Risk Assurance, Cyber Security & Privacy, Enterprise Resilience PwC Consulting Marin is a Partner in PwC’s Cybersecurity practice based in Hong Kong with responsibilities for cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems security and enterprise resilience services. With over 25 years of experience in fighting cyber crime and financial crime in various roles in law enforcement, industry and consulting across Asia Pacific, Europe and Americas, Marin has built a global reputation for helping his clients improve their cyber resilience. His experience spans a wide range of industries with a particular focus on critical infrastructure and financial services – sectors with the highest cyber risk exposure. Prior to joining PwC, he held numerous global and Asia Pacific cybersecurity leadership roles in organizations such as IBM, Accenture, Experian, Cyber Agency and others. Marin also acted as an interim CISO for number of his clients successfully delivering IT and cybersecurity transformation projects with budgets of up to US$500M. Marin is active in the industry and is frequently invited to present at events or to speak to boards of directors, governments and intergovernmental organizations. He is currently acting as the Chairman of the Cyber-Physical Systems Security Institute, is recognised as a Fellow of Information Privacy by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, and he holds numerous industry qualifications and accreditations. |

Effendy Ibrahim Vice President, Asia Veeam Effendy Ibrahim is the Vice President for Asia, and is responsible for leading Veeam’s growth across all markets in the Asia region. He brings with him over 20 years of executive leadership experience and has held senior roles across various multinational companies that specialises in consumer electronics, technology, and advertising. Effendy joined Veeam in July 2015 as the Marketing Director for the Asia & Japan region where he led and grew the marketing team. He was promoted to Vice President in October 2016. Before joining Veeam, Effendy spent nine years in Symantec. He led the Enterprise Marketing team at Symantec Asia Pacific, as the Senior Director, and was the overall lead for marketing programs and campaigns for the enterprise business. His leadership created impressive and remarkable growth throughout Asia and Japan within two years. Prior to his role as the Senior Director of the Enterprise Marketing team at Symantec Asia Pacific, Effendy was the Director of the Consumer & Small Business Unit in Asia over a period of seven years. In this capacity, Effendy oversaw the exponential business growth within the company, forming strategic partnerships in the Asia Pacific region. Before joining Symantec Asia Pacific, Effendy was the Head of Marketing Communications for Samsung Asia. He was responsible for all marketing communications plans, programs, and activities in Singapore, across all product lines (mobile phone, white goods, and other technology hardware), moving Samsung Asia to a market leader. Effendy holds an MA in Business Administration from the University of Manchester, UK, and a BA of Business (Marketing) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently serving as a member of two Singapore government committees: The National Council for Problem Gambling and the National Crime Prevention Council. |
